As per the recent data, there are several lowest performing medical colleges in FMGE 2024. The Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) is an essential licensure test for Indian citizens who have studied MBBS abroad and want to practice in India. This exam is conducted twice a year by the National Board of Examinations (NBE). Recent sessions have highlighted trends, especially among graduates from specific foreign medical colleges. The FMGE 2024 results reveal the challenges that foreign medical graduates face, particularly those from schools that may not provide adequate clinical exposure or quality education. According to the FMGE 2024 performance, there are top performing countries in FMGE 2024 based on their overall percentage. These countries include Georgia with a passing percentage of 36.65% and Russia with 29.54%. On the other hand, there are some lowest performing medical colleges in FMGE 2024 based on their overall passing percentage. These include Armenia, Belize, China and Philippines. There were a total of 79,000 students who appeared for FMGE 2024. Out of these students, 20,382 students passed the exam, bringing the passing percentage to 25.80%. Several universities did not perform well and resulted in a low passing percentage. Aspiring medical students are advised to research well before applying to foreign medical colleges. This will ensure that they receive good training that meets the standards necessary to pass the FMGE and practice medicine in India.

Lowest Performing Medical Colleges in FMGE 2024

FMGE 2024 saw many medical colleges that did not perform well. Low passing percentage indicates that the quality of education, clinical exposure and training of the medical college is not up to the mark. The following sections will demonstrate the various lowest performing medical colleges in FMGE 2024. In each country mentioned below, the worst performing university had a passing percentage of less than 50%. Additionally, the total number of students who appeared for the FMGE in these universities is more than 100.

Armenia

Out of 10 medical colleges in Armenia, the lowest performing medical colleges in FMGE 2024 were 6. These medical colleges are as follows:

Belarus had only 4 medical colleges, however, 2 of them were the worst performing medical colleges in FMGE 2024.

Factors Affecting FMGE Performance

A few factors due to which the result is not up to par are mentioned below.

The FMGE assesses knowledge based on Indian medical standards, which can be quite unfamiliar for many students who have trained abroad.
Inadequate Preparation can lead to bad results in FMGE.
The FMGE tests knowledge across all 20 subjects of the MBBS curriculum, ranging from anatomy and physiology to surgery and medicine.
Sectional Timing in FMGE makes it harder to complete on time.
