SAT Test Eligibility 2021 - What is the age limit?
SAT has a global orientation and it attracts students of various age groups. Hence, the College Board has not prescribed any age limit for appearing in the test. Mostly, it is seen that the students who have completed their school education (Class 12/Class 11) appear in the test.
However, it doesn’t mean that the candidates who are graduates or who are in their high schools cannot appear in the test. Students from all age groups and all educational backgrounds can appear in the SAT test.
Candidates are advised to fulfil the educational qualification of the course and the college they are looking for admission.
SAT Eligibility Criteria - Students with disabilities
The conducting body allows the students who have some kind of disabilities to appear in the test. Furthermore, such candidates are eligible to appear in SAT exam with some accommodations. However, all accommodations must be approved by the College Board’s Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD). Once approved by the College Board, accommodations can be utilised for both SAT and SAT Subject Tests—one doesn't have to make a new request for each.
Accommodations for candidates with disabilities
Usual accommodations include Braille and large-print exams for visually impaired candidates, extended time, use of a computer for essays, and extra breaks. These are not the only accommodations available — the College Board considers all requests for candidates with documented disabilities.
SAT Registration 2021
There are two versions of SAT, one is SAT reasoning test while the other one is SAT subject test. Candidates can take both or any of them. The registration for SAT can be done in three ways namely - SAT registration by email, in online mode (from the official website) and registration by phone. While doing the registration, candidates will need to provide their personal information such as name, communication address, contact information etc. The SAT registration must be completed before the end of the deadline for a given test date.
