After completing MBBS from a foreign university, students must appear for the FMGE. The 2024 performance of Bangladesh medical colleges has been released by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences. It is crucial to understand which Bangladesh medical colleges performed well and which did not.

2023 December session | 20.57% |
2023 (June Session) | 10.20% |
2022 | 10.61% |
2021 | 23.91% |
Out of all the Bangladesh medical colleges, some colleges had a larger number of students who gave the FMGE exam. The table below mentions those universities whose at least 100 or more students appeared for FMGE and how many passed the exam, and what the passing percentage is.
Bangladesh Medical College | Total Students Appeared | Passing Students | Passing Percentage |
Gazi Medical College | 111 | 32 | 28.83% |
Dhaka National Medical College | 100 | 33 | 33% |
Institute of Applied Health Science (IAHS) | 126 | 16 | 12.70% |
Kumudini Women’s Medical College | 118 | 37 | 31.36% |
100 | 40 | 40% | |
Prime Medical College | 147 | 35 | 23.81% |
175 | 39 | 22.29% | |
119 | 28 | 23.53% | |
Tairunnessa Memorial Medical College and Hospital | 134 | 34 | 25.37% |
120 | 45 | 37.50% | |
103 | 34 | 33.01% |
The data above clearly states that in the medical colleges where a larger number of students appeared for the FMGE exam, the passing percentage is low. The total passing percentage is 32.38%. Comparatively, the total passing percentage in Georgia is 35.65%., which is better than Bangladesh. However, in Russia the total passing percentage is 29.54%. Therefore, Bangladesh’s performance in FMGE 2024 is moderate.

Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College | 5 | 1 | 20% |
University of Science And Technology | 2 | 1 | 50% |
7 | 3 | 42.86% |
This data shows that in some universities, there is a 100% passing percentage. However, the number of students who appeared for the FMGE at the university is only 1. Hence, the 100% passing percentage does not necessarily mean that the university provides good quality education.
To conclude the Bangladesh medical colleges’ 2024 FMGE performance, it is analyzed that a total number of Bangladesh medical college students who appeared for FMGE was 2,822. Out of these students, 914 students cleared the FMGE and are now eligible to work in India. This makes the total passing percentage 32.38%. Comparatively, the total passing percentage in Georgia is 35.65%, which is better than Bangladesh. However, in Russia, the total passing percentage is 29.54%. Hence, Bangladesh’s performance is moderate in FMGE 2024. Even though thousands of students come to Bangladesh every year to study medicine, only a few get to work in India. Therefore, you must analyse the universities to study medicine before applying.

Hi
Brazil imported rice from India for the first time in 2020 due to a decrease in its domestic production caused by adverse weather conditions . The need to stabilize domestic prices and ensure sufficient supply prompted Brazil to turn to Indian rice exports . This was part of a broader strategy to manage local market demands during challenging agricultural periods .
