Recently, the GMAC has announced a significant change in its policy: The long-standing 8-attempt lifetime limit for the GMAT is no longer in effect. From now on, there is no lifetime limit for the GMAT exam.
The other aspect that should be kept in mind is that even after removing the lifetime limit, a maximum of 5 attempts remains valid within a rolling 12-month period.
