The University of Northern Philippines College of Medicine offers a medical programme called Doctor of Medicine. It is a four-year post-baccalaureate programme consisting of basic science courses and clinical courses. The primary purpose of the Doctor of Medicine programme is to train professional physicians for the Philippine healthcare system. Graduates of the Doctor of Medicine programme are general practitioners who, after passing the Practitioner Licensing Examination (PLE), are eligible to practice general private medicine. 

Graduates of this course are awarded the degree of Doctor of Medicine and are given the title "MD" only after being licensed as a medical doctor by the Professional Regulations Commission of the University of Northern Philippines College of Medicine. The degree of Doctor of Medicine is the primary educational qualification for the Physicians' Licensure Examination (PLE) in the Philippines which is equivalent to Level 7 of the Philippine Qualifications Framework (PQF) and International Standard Classification of Education.

  • Application form of the UNP College of Medicine.

  • National Medical Admission Test (NMAT) with a score of 40% or higher, taken not more than two years.

  • Official Transcript of Records of the Baccalaureate programme together with Certificates of Academic Scores and General Weighted Average.

  • Certificate of Honorable Dismissal/Permit To Transfer

  • Certificates of good moral character, addressed to the Dean of UNP CMed, from two former professors in the last school attended.

  • Four copies of 2×2 pictures signed by the applicant on the front of the picture.

  • Birth certificate issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)

  • For naturalized Filipino citizens, an original Certificate of Naturalization is required.
