The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) may prove to be challenging for Indian students, but a competitive score can be obtained with proper preparation. The GRE is particularly hard in the analytical writing and advanced vocabulary tests. The GRE is rated from 260-340. An ideal score of 320 and above is recommended for admission to the best universities across the globe. A minimum score of 75 percentile and above is good enough for one to apply.
If you are able to score 330 or higher in verbal and quant, then you will be placed at 90th percentile, which will be a 90% GRE score.
Getting 300 on GRE is achievable goal for many test-takers, However, it requires a lot of dedication and hard work to achieve it.
There are three main sections in the GRE syllabus: These are analytical writing, verbal and quantitative reasoning. The analytical writing, verbal and quantitative reasoning of candidates is assessed in these sections.
Candidates can take the GRE General test up to five times in a rolling 12-month period. There must be at least 21 days between two attempts.
No, the GRE (Graduate Record Examination) does not have negative marking. This means, you will not lose any marks if you give an incorrect answer. Therefore, you should attempt all the questions, even if you don't know the answer.
Hello,
It depends on the university you are applying to. Most German universities do not require GATE for admission to a Master's in Biotechnology. However, some universities may ask for the GRE , especially if you are applying to a highly competitive program.
You should check the specific admission requirements of the universities you are interested in. Generally, having IELTS (or TOEFL) and a German language proficiency certificate (if the course is in German) is enough.
Hope it helps !
GRE, TOEFL, IELTS, and GMAT are standardized tests often required for admission to universities abroad, but they serve different purposes. The **GRE** (Graduate Record Examination) is used for admission to graduate programs and some business schools, focusing on verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, and analytical writing. The **TOEFL** (Test of English as a Foreign Language) and **IELTS** (International English Language Testing System) assess English language proficiency, often required for non-native speakers applying to English-speaking countries; TOEFL is more common in the U.S., while IELTS is popular in the U.K. and other regions. The **GMAT** (Graduate Management Admission Test) is specifically for business school admissions, testing quantitative, verbal, analytical writing, and integrated reasoning skills, and is required for MBA programs. I would advise that you get in touch with a prominent abroad education advisor - a great one will really help you through the entire process, end-to-end.
