How to Select PTE Exam Centre in India and Test Date?
Only a registered candidate can select the test centre of PTE academic 2024 and schedule the test. Here are the steps for selecting the PTE test centre and date for taking the test:
Step 1: Register and log in to Pearson- VUE account.
Step 2: Select the type of exam; PTE Academic.
Step 3: Now select the country, for example, India, and click on the search tab.
Step 4: All available PTE academic exam centres will be shown on the page along with a map.
Step 5: A candidate can select up to 4 PTE centres near me in the order of preference.
Step 6: Now select the date and timings for the test.
Step 7: Submit the details and pay the test fee in online mode.
Documents Required at PTE Test Centres in India
To take the PTE Academic 2024, candidates need to provide acceptable identity documents as prescribed by the conducting body. The document list varies from country to country. The following documents are accepted in PTE exam centres 2024 in India for verification purposes.
If the candidate is a citizen of India and is taking the test outside the country, he/she must present a valid passport for identification purposes.
If the candidate is a citizen of India and is taking a test inside the country, then also, the passport is valid for identification. However, in case the candidate has given his passport for renewal, the digital renewable slip will be accepted.
PTE Academic Preparation Tips
In order to achieve a good score in your PTE Academic test you will need to have a preparation strategy in place.
DownloadIt should be noted that the conducting body doesn't accept the magistrate's letters or any other identification document. Further, the same ID details shared at the time of registration should be presented in the PTE 2024 test centre at the time of the exam. If the candidate fails to produce the ID, he/she will not be allowed to enter the test centre.
PTE Test Centre in India: Cancellation and Rescheduling of the test
If Pearson suspends the scheduled PTE test date at a particular test centre, all candidates will be notified by email with an appointment or cancellation notice. The refund process will be initiated by the conducting body immediately after the suspension of the exam. Students who have completed their payment by credit or debit card will be automatically refunded to their respective bank accounts.
How to Reschedule the PTE Test dates?
PTE test dates may be rescheduled by candidates at least 14 days in advance of the original test date. By using the "Reschedule option" in their PTE account, candidates can reschedule their academic exam dates for free. A confirmation email is then sent to the email address they registered. Candidates can reschedule the PTE exam up to six times with a single registration.
PTE Test at Home
Candidates who want to appear for the test from the comfort of their home can take the PTE at home, launched by Pearson PLC Group. It is also known as PTE Academic Online. Before booking PTE at home test, candidates must ensure that the chosen university accept the PTE Academic online.
Requirements for PTE Test at Home
Candidates appearing for PTE at home version, must meet the following requirements:
Computer with a working web camera
Headset (wired or wireless)
Strong internet connection
System must be able to download and run the OnVUE software for the PTE exam.
The test taker must sit for the PTE 2024 exam in a quiet place
Accommodation and Special Arrangements for PTE 2024
There are some special arrangements made for candidates with disabilities, which include:
- They are provided a separate room to take the PTE exam.
- The deadline is increased to disabled test takers.
- Reader or recorder arrangements are provided to these candidates.
To request accommodation at the PTE test centre, candidates are required to provide a proof of disability. Also, the accommodation request should be made at least 1 week before the date of the PTE exam.
