• Speakers: The candidate can use internal and external speakers; however, earphones or headsets are not permitted.

• Microphone: Internal and external microphones that aren't part of the headset are permitted.

• Camera: A separate or inbuilt camera is allowed. It must be able to move 360 degrees in rotation.

2. Test Room Requirements for TOEFL Home Edition

• The examinee must be sitting in a private room with a closed door and no other person present in the room.

• The exam cannot be given in a public space.

• Make sure that all transparent windows or doors are covered.

• There must be a clear tabletop for placing the desktop or laptop.

• Test takers’ ears, faces and eyes should be properly visible to the proctor.

• No drinking or food items are allowed during the examination.
