OASIS can be used by ECFMG certification applicants to check general information as well as know the status of items related to ECFMG Certification. OASIS can also be used to make payment, update contact details, access exam results, and perform certain transactions related to ERAS®, including requesting for an ERAS Token. Available around the clock, every day of the week, OASIS is quite easy to use and is free for ECFMG applicants.

How to register for USMLE 2019?
Candidates can apply for USMLE registration 2019 after they have received the ECFMG certification. International aspirants are required to apply for USMLE 2019 through the IWA. Candidates can register for USMLE 2019 registration for Step 1 and Step 2 (CK and CS) through ECFMG.

Candidates who have a USMLE/ECFMG Identification Number, can pay their fee in advance to ECFMG using Form 900. Once the payment has been received and credited to the candidate’s ECFMG financial account, the candidate can start the IWA application process. For first time applicants:
Candidates are required to complete the ECFMG On-line Authentication Process to get a USMLE/ECFMG Identification Number. Candidate are advised to wait for the ID number and temporary password before they can apply for ECFMG Certification.
For repeat applicants:
Candidates are required to have their USMLE/ECFMG ID no. and password. Candidates who have previously used the ECFMG’s OASIS will have a password. Those candidates who have not used OASIS need to have an ECFMG OASIS account and the required ID and password before they can begin their application.
Candidates who have forgotten or lost ID and/or password:
Such candidates are required to obtain their ID and password before they can apply for ECFMG.
While filling up the application form, the candidates should fill up the complete application in one session (in 15 minutes) as the web application does not save partially completed form for ECFMG certification. After completing the application, candidates can review their information for accuracy and make corrections before submitting. Candidates can also print a copy of their application for their records
The ECFMG certification application on submission becomes valid immediately after which the candidates can apply for USMLE 2019. Candidates will receive application receipt confirmation notification on their email address. Candidates can confirm their application submission through OASIS.
USMLE 2019 Application Form for Step 1 and Step 2 (CK and CS)
Exams selection: USMLE Step 1 is the first step in USMLE 2019 exam. It might be USMLE Step 1or Step 2 (CK and CS).
Eligibility period: International aspirants seeking to appear for USMLE and filling up USMLE application form 2019 for both Step 1 or Step 2 CK can select a three-month eligibility period. They can take the exam within the eligibility period. Candidates need to ensure that the eligibility period cannot be between the first fortnight (14 days) of January and or on major holidays. Name, DOB and contact details: Candidates are required to provide their complete and correct details in the USMLE 2019 application form. The candidates will receive their ECFMG certificate at the address mentioned.
Language: The USMLE application form 2019 also mandates the international aspirants from non-native English speaking countries to mention their mother tongue or language of communication.
National Identification Number: Aspirants from countries which issue identification similar to the US social security number are required to mention it on the USMLE application form 2019.
Citizenship, ethnicity: International aspirants are required to clearly mention their citizenship and ethnicity at the time of applying for USMLE registration.
Employment: If you are employed at the time of applying for USMLE, you need to furnish details of your employment in the application form of USMLE 2019.

Clinical Clerkship: Aspirants who have done the rotation or internship as a part of the medical course are required to select the clinical discipline as well as the hospital or clinic name in the USMLE 2019 application form.
Certification Statement: Aspirants enrolled in a medical school which is not part of the ECFMG Medical School Web Portal (EMSWP) Status Verification program, are required to get a certification statement (form 183).
Certification of Identification Form (Form 186): Candidates enrolled in the medical school listed in the ECFMG Medical School Web Portal (EMSWP), but do not have a Certification of Identification, are required to fill up a Certification of Identification (Form 186), signed by the medical school’s authority.

USMLE Step 3 application:
Candidates aspiring to apply for the USMLE 2019 Step 3 are required to apply through the Federation of State Medical Boards (FSMB). Step 3 of USMLE 2019 can only be taken in the USA. Candidates can take this final test round the year except for the first week of January and on major holidays. With an eligibility period of 3 months, the USMLE test dates for Step 3 are offered on a first-come-first basis. The USMLE application form fee for USMLE Step 3 is $850.
