About Trinity College Dublin

Trinity College, Dublin was established in 1592 by royal charter. It is the constituent college of the University of Dublin which is a research university located in Dublin, Ireland. Trinity College has various faculties associated with it including Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, Engineering, Mathematics and Science, and Health Sciences which offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and other online programmes across different areas of study. Trinity College Dublin Admission and Application

Application deadline May,2024

Step 1: Open the official website of the university and make an account for applying to Trinity College.

Step 2: Download the application forms and fill in all the information correctly.

Step 3: Attach all the documents and pay the amount of the application fee before submission.

Step 4: Application forms can be tracked by logging into the registered account through the ID and password.

Step 5: Document will be verified and payment of admission fee needs to be done.

Trinity College Dublin Eligibility

  • Applicants need to submit a few documents including academic transcripts, recommendation letters, a personal statement, and a resume.
  • For undergraduate programmes, students need to have qualifying scores in English, Mathematics, and a language other than English and must have relevant subjects.
  • Non-native English students must submit proof of their English proficiency test like Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System Academic (IELTS Academic) or or Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CAP) or Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English (CAE) or Pearson Test of English (PTE) (Academic) or Duolingo English Test or Trinity PMPP etc.
  • Students having qualifying scores in IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge and PTE tests should not be older than three years old.
  • SAT or ACT scores can also be submitted if students wish them to be considered, though it is not mandatory.
  • For applying to postgraduate programmes, students need to have a 2.1 honors degree from an Irish university or equivalent from a university in another country.

Hostel

Students are offered housing facilities in four locations which are either located in campus or very near to the campus so that students can easily commute to the college campus. All the rooms are provided with all basic amenities and attached bathrooms. All the rooms are also well equipped with WiFi and internet access. The out campus residential facilities are offered at Trinity Hall and Kavanagh Court. The Trinity Hall is generally recommended for all the first year students as it has a Junior Common Room which conducts various activities for the students to make an ideal place for them to make friends and get to meet new people. The Kavanagh Court is the newly opened residential hall which is located just 15 minute walking distance from the college. Students need to fill the application forms for accommodation and students will get rooms based on their acceptance of application forms and availability of rooms.

Sports

Trinity College offers various sports facilities to the students of the college. It has a Sports which has a fitness theatre well equipped with cardiovascular machines, free weights and machine weights. It also has a 25m deck level swimming pool used for lane swimming, club training sessions, and aqua classes. The Climbing Wall is 11m high and 18m wide with space for 14 routes. Other facilities of High-Performance Gym, Wellness Studio, Cycling Studio, and Ancillary Hall/Functional Training Zone are also available. The college also has various grounds and courts offering different sports and games.

Trinity College offers a wide range of restaurants and coffee shops to meet the requirements of every student and staff. The Buttery Restaurant offers a wide range of bread and fillings, a hot food offer and a salad bar. The restaurant also offers a number of Lavazza coffee drinks. The Perch Café is the hub of freshly made salads, sandwiches, hot and cold food items as well as a selection of home-baked pastries, fair-trade coffees, teas, smoothies, and juices. The Old Dining Hall serves hot dishes, soups, and desserts and students can even dine in the dining hall if they wish to. The Aras a Phiarsaigh Coffee Area is the place where people generally visit for coffee or tea. However, there are many other restaurants that are budget-friendly and offer quality food where staff can visit and dine in including The East Dining Hall, The 1592 Menu, The 1592 Restaurant, etc.

Medical/Hospital

Trinity College provides healthcare facilities to the students and staff of the college. Students can seek consultations free of cost. Starting from primary health care and sports medicine to mental health care, Trinity College takes care of all the health services of students. The college has a separate department for mental health counseling where certified counselors are there to provide any advice related to mental health, stress, or anxiety issues.
