Hello aspirant,

It is a very comprehensive and promising legislation that combines civil remedies with criminal procedures to ensure effective protection and immediate relief to victims of violence of any kind occurring within the family, The definition of ‘domestic violence' is in consonance with the UN Model Legislation on Domestic Violence. The aggrieved can seek protection against any physical, sexual, verbal and emotional abuse or economic abuses. This law for the first time recognizes a women's right to a violence free home. Under the Act, the right to reside in the matrimonial home/shared household was seen as a major breakthrough in women's rights in India.
Salient features of the Act are as follows:
- It covers those women who are or have been in a relationship with the abuser where both parties have lived together in a shared household and are related by consanguinity, marriage, a relationship in the nature of marriage, or adoption.

The Resultant of two forces when they act at the right angle is 10N . Whereas when they act at an angle of 60° the resultant is √148.Determine the magnitude of two forces.
Dear aspirant,
First of all you need to read the question properly and work step by step accordingly. You need to form two equations and solve simultaneously. Let the force be F1 and F2. So in first case F1+ F2 = 10 and in second case F1+F2+2 F1F2 cos60= √148. Then substitute F1 = 10-F2 in second equation.
The Resultant of Two Forces When they act at the right angle 10N,Whereas when they act at an angle of 60° the resultant is √148.Determine the magnitude of the two forces.
Hello candidate,
The resultant component of any two forces acting at any direction is given as the sum of the individual forces taking the cos component of the angle between them.
So, F= √(F1^2 + F2^2+ 2F1*F2* cos theta), in the given question is mention that the square of two individual vectors is equal to 100, and the other component of 60 degree gives the resultant.
Hence, the individual forces are of 8N and 6N respectively.
Hope it helps!!
