The University of Queensland is a publicly owned institution that was established on 10 December 1909 by the signing of the University Act. The university has more than 200 clubs and societies.

Scholarship reduction is applied to the first 2 semesters (1 semester for Foundation students) and the candidates are automatically considered for this scholarship if they meet the eligibility criteria.
UQ International Excellence Scholarship: It applies to future UQ students and is based on academic excellence. This grant allows a 25% reduction in tuition fees per semester. The grant is renewable and is applicable for the duration of the program (up to 4 years).
