The University of Queensland was established on 10 December 1909 through the Act of State Parliament with an objective to deliver knowledge and education to make the world a better place. The classes of UQ started commencing from 14 March 1911. The library holds a collection of over 2.17 million book titles both in electronic and printed form and 158,000 journals (electronic and print).
