The NMC (National Medical Council) has mandated that it is a must for Indian students to clear the NEET exam to study MBBS abroad. Without clearing NEET, it is not possible to practice medicine in India. Hence, a medical degree from a foreign study abroad destination is not valid in India without NEET. Though NEET is a prerequisite for MBBS in India and abroad for Indian students, every country has its own qualifying entrance exam. So, it is possible to either appear for entrance exams for a specific country or apply to other countries for MBBS abroad without NEET.

The duration of a medical degree in Russia is 6 years (including the internship).
