What is FMGE?

The Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) is a medical licensed examination that is conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE). Passing FMGE is necessary for Indian students with foreign medical degrees (MBBS) to practice medicine within India. To simplify, Indian students who obtained their medical qualification (MBBS) from an institution outside India but want to practice in India need to pass this exam to meet the NMC (National Medical Commission) guidelines. The test is conducted 2 times in a year, once in June and once in December.

The pass percentage of FMGE exam 2024 is a matter of concern and discussion among medical aspirants. According to the FMGE 2024 data:

FMGE Registration 2025

Students eligible for FMGE registration for the FMGE 2025 June session will need to register themselves on the official website of NBE. The FMGE registration 2025 for June session has begun today (29th April, 2025). To fill the FMGE registration form:

Step 1: Go to the NBE portal at nbu.edu.in.

Step 2: Click on the Application link to continue.

Step 3: Create a new account and complete the FMGE registration form.

Step 4: Upload necessary documents such as the MBBS degree, eligibility certificate, and photograph.

Step 5: Pay the FMGE exam fees.

Step 6: Submit and download the confirmation page.

FMGE Exam Fees 2025

The FMGE exam fees for the FMGE 2025 June session is INR 5,250 excluding GST. A GST rate of 18%, that equals to INR 945 will be applicable. Students must pay the FMGE application Fee 2025 of INR 6,195.

FMGE Result 2025

The FMGE result 2024 has already been published on the official website of NBE. Students can check their FMGE result 2024 by logging in with their NBE credentials. Please note that NBE never sends FMGE results on the personal email IDs of the candidates.
