Questions related to NEET

Have a question related to NEET ?

Dear student,

If you didn’t select EWS while filling out your NEET application , you usually can’t claim the EWS quota during counselling—even if you have a valid EWS certificate now. The category you choose in the NEET form is what’s considered during seat allotment.

Unless you updated your category to EWS during an official correction window , you’ll be treated as a General category candidate during counselling.

This rule applies to all candidates , including those from Jammu & Kashmir . Just having the EWS certificate isn’t enough—you must have selected the category in the NEET form itself

Hello Aspirant,

Yes, you can transition to EWS category from OBC in NEET state counselling as long as you have a current and authentic EWS certificate for that year at the time of counselling. However, you also need to follow the below things:

  • Your EWS certificate is valid for the current financial year and issued by the competent authority.
  • The counselling authority accepts changes in category when verifying the documents.

Rules change from state to state, so make sure you check your state counselling guidelines for specific information.

Hello aspirant

The cutoff marks required for qualifying neet ug 2025 are as follows,

General686-144

EWS686-144

OBC143-113

SC143-113

ST143-113

General EWS143-127

General PwBD143-127

OBC PwD126-113

SC PwD126-113

ST PwD126-113

And your score is much less than these numbers, so you can't get admission in any college. Sorry, but you should try next year with more thorough preparation.

Best of luck for your future.

Hello Aspirant,

Yes, you can be considered under the Punjab state quota for NEET UG admission if you have completed your 10th and 12th from Punjab and can provide a valid domicile/residence certificate of Punjab. According to the eligibility rules, candidates who have studied in Punjab for qualifying exams and can produce proper domicile proof are eligible for 85% state quota seats in government and private medical colleges in Punjab. Make sure to get the domicile certificate from the local authority before the start of counselling by BFUHS.

All the best for your admission process.

With 301 marks in NEET 2025,

  • You’re not eligible for government BAMS seats (cutoff is 450+ for General category).
  • You have a chance in private BAMS colleges or through management/NRI quota.
  • Reserved category candidates may also have better chances.
  • To get a government BAMS seat, aim for 450+ marks.
