How to Send IELTS Score to Universities: Additional TRFs (ATRF)

Effective 01 February 2020, IDP does not receive any physical (offline) applications for ATRF. Students can submit their ATRF application online by visiting the IDP official website at ieltsidpindia.com. Students can send their IELTS scores to universities by using the following modes:

  • Electronically

  • By courier

  • By post

How can I send IELTS score to university?

International students can send their IELTS scores to at least five universities. Candidates can choose their preferred universities during the IELTS registration process.

Here's a simple step-by-step process to effortlessly send your IELTS scores to universities:

  • Step 1: Visit the IDP IELTS website to create an account.

  • Step 2: Click on the “Book Now” tab.

  • Step 3: Fill out the required details including “Test”, “Test Type” and “City”.

  • Step 4: Select the “Book Now” button after filling out the necessary details.

  • Step 5: Select the IELTS test date from the available dates at your convenience.

  • Step 6: Select five universities to send IELTS scores free of cost.

The IELTS test centre will send your scores to your selected universities within 10 working days after the announcement of the results.

How to Download IELTS TRF?

IDP releases the IELTS Test Report Form (TRF) within 13 days of the test day. Candidates can collect their report cards using their original identity proof from the IELTS test centres.

Test-takers can download the IELTS Test Report Form (TRF) online by logging into their official IDP account. The IELTS TRF is now available online and students can download the eTRF by following the below-mentioned steps:

  1. Visit the IDP official website.

  2. Log in to your personal account by entering your user ID and password.

  3. An auto pop-up window will be displayed redirecting you to the IELTS score.

  4. Now download the PDF of your Result Feedback.

  5. Scroll down and click on View eTRF under the Declared Result column.

  6. Print or download your eTRF as per the requirement.

How much does it cost to send IELTS score to universities?

There is no extra cost required to send IELTS scores to universities. The candidates can select at least five universities to send their scores electronically at the time of IELTS registration. However, candidates who wish to send their scores to more than five universities are required to pay an administrative charge of Rs. 250 per additional university.

The charges are the same for physical reports. However, an additional fee of USD 19 i.e., Rs. 1584 is charged by the IDP IELTS to mail a TRF hardcopy to international universities. Candidates applying for an additional TRF after more than a month must pay the required charges to apply to the Issue of Additional TRFs.

Candidates who wish to send their IELTS scores to organisations by courier service must pay Rs. 1500 for the same. The IDP will share the tracking ID/reference number with candidates once the report is dispatched. Again, Rs. 400 is charged for those who wish to share their scores via post for every university.

Send IELTS score to university: Payment Modes

The IELTS offers multiple payment options to test-takers for sending their IELTS scores to different universities. Candidates can choose any of the following payment options at their convenience.

  • Online Payment: Candidates can pay the required amount using a card, eWallet, or net banking.

  • Bank: Candidates can pay cash to any ICICI bank branch and fill out the ICICI payment slips.

  • Demand Draft: Students can complete their payment via demand draft to either the "IDP Education India Private Limited, payable in New Delhi" or the "British Council payable in Delhi".

Candidates can send ten e-copies of their scorecard free of cost. However, students must check the list of universities accepting IELTS scores electronically on their official website.

Many universities also eTRF scores to enroll international students from all over the world. In such cases, students can send their eTRF directly to multiple universities via mail. Follow the below-mentioned steps to send your IELTS score to universities as a PDF:
