Nevertheless, Indian medical students planning to practise medicine in India after studying MBBS abroad must clear the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE), conducted in India. FMGE is one of the toughest licensing exams that every Indian medical student and overseas citizen of India takes after their MBBS abroad. Passing this examination is the only way to practise medicine in India. FMGE is conducted twice a year by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences for foreign medical graduates and overseas citizens of India after their MBBS abroad. However, the FMGE passing rate for MBBS abroad students in India for 2025 has been announced, and the same has been provided below. The FMGE exam for the December 2025 session was successfully conducted on 17 January 2026, and the results were also released on January 29, 2026. Nonetheless, the country-wise FMGE pass rate reports have not been released yet.
