Medium of Instruction
Ensure that all the teaching modules included in the coursework use English as the primary medium of instruction. The National Medical Commission validates only English taught MBBS courses because students should be able to understand all subjects with utmost clarity.
Duration of the course
The entire duration of the course should be at least 54 months (4.5 years). Any MBBS course offered by a foreign medical college or university that is less than this particular period will not be considered valid by the National Medical Commission. The course must also include a 12-month internship in which students get hands-on practice in the clinical settings. Any college that does not provide an internship or offer an internship outside the student's registered institution is considered invalid.
