The National Medical Council (NMC) has a set of study MBBS abroad eligibility, wherein MBBS aspirants who want to study medicine abroad must meet the following academic requirements.
It is mandatory for students to complete their 12th grade from a recognised board with 70% in all the mandatory subjects (Physics, Chemistry and Biology).
The minimum marks required for MBBS abroad is 164 for general category, while 129 for unreserved category.
If students are from the general category, then it is mandatory for them to at least obtain 50% aggregate marks, while for other reserved categories like SC, ST, and OBC, the minimum aggregate marks to secure is 40% to fulfil MBBS abroad eligibility criteria 2025. The 12th percentage required for MBBS abroad for general category is 50% while it is 40% for unreserved categories.
Students must be at least 17 by the 31st December of the admission year. There is no maximum age limit for MBBS admission abroad, in most of the countries, but it is always wise to check the specific university guidelines when applying.
Is NEET mandatory for MBBS abroad? Yes, it is the most important MBBS abroad eligibility 2025 for Indian students as set by the NMC. Students must qualify the NEET exam, if they want to fulfil MBBS abroad eligibility 2025. While different universities might accept different NEET scores, it is mandatory to secure the minimum qualifying score for admission. The NEET score validity is for three upcoming years to get admission in foreign medical universities.
