    Getting a Student Visa to Study in Dubai in 2023

    Before commencing their study in Dubai, international students need to obtain student visas for the duration of their study. Here are some key points about the Dubai student visa:

    1. The student visa is valid for 12 months and has to be renewed each year before expiry, until the study program is over.

    2. In the UAE, students are first granted a ‘Student Entry Permit’ and then a ‘Student Residence Visa.’

    3. To get a student visa in Dubai in 2023, students need to first accept the Offer of Admission extended by their respective universities, fulfil all academic conditions, wherever applicable, and submit all the relevant financial documentation.

    4. Students upon their arrival in the UAE on an entry visa are put through a medical and biometric testing, and if everything comes out fine, are issued the ‘Student Residence Visa.’

    5. The entire process usually takes around 15-20 working days.

    6. If a student fails the medical and biometric testing, they are repatriated back to their original countries.
