All students are provided placement exams twice each year (summer and winter) at Harvard. These placement exams are designed by individual academic departments to help Harvard College students select the classes that are most appropriate for their course of study. This means that students are required to take the exam before the onset of their programme.
All fields of study are open to all students at Harvard, and the placement exams will help you know where to get started.
