F1 Student Visa - There are different types of student visas for foreign students to study in the USA. F1 visa is required for international students who wish to study in universities, schools or any other academic institutions, etc. Students enrolled in colleges that are certified by the “Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP)” are only eligible for the F1 student visa for studying in the USA. Once the candidate receives the admission letter from the US university, they can proceed with the F1 visa process. The visa process can be started 1 year before the course start date in the USA. Follow the steps mentioned below to apply for the F1 student visa application.
Once the candidate secures admission at the SEVP-approved college in the USA, they can fill in the SEVP form “I-20” received from the US University and pay the SEVIS fee.
Then apply for the F1 Student visa application by filling out the “DS-160 form” which is the visa application available online at the US consulate website at ceac.state.gov/GenNIV/Default.
Upload the necessary documents and make the payment for student visa fees.
A date for the student visa interview will be scheduled.
The candidate can fix the OFC appointment before the visa interview at his/her possible time.
Attend the OFC appointment and visa interview.
Once the visa is approved pay the F1 visa issuance fee(if applicable).

The SEVIS fee for the F1 Visa is $350. The application fee is the same for almost all types of US visas. The F1 visa price for the application is non-refundable and costs around $185.
