New Zealand offers international students three primary housing alternatives, similar to most other study abroad countries. These include independent housing, homestays, and resident halls. You will be required to choose from these depending on your need. In this essay, let's study more in-depth about each of these.
The halls of residence are the most common type of New Zealand accommodation for international students. Freshers who come to study in New Zealand most often go for the halls of residence as they are easy on the pocket, gives them a chance to live and interact with many students from across the world and is the safest option out of all. Also because the halls of residence are in close proximity to the university, it also gives students a chance to take on more academic and extracurricular work and explore various opportunities offered by the institution.
Living in this form of housing doesn't need a lot of transportation because the residence halls are located close to the campus. In the residence halls, meals and furnished rooms are also available. Living expenses in a resident hall ranged from $100 to $700 a week. If you want to live in one of these residence halls, you must apply well in advance because they are in high demand. The fact that you are a part of the larger college community and New Zealand accommodation for international students and that someone is always willing to help is the finest thing about living here.
Best countries to study abroad:
International students who come to New Zealand to study have the option of living in a homestay. Living with New Zealand families while pursuing their education is a common housing choice for students. The prices range from NZ$110 to NZ$370 per room each week here. Three meals a day, laundry, cleaning, internet, and phone services are typically included in these fees. The benefit of this arrangement is that overseas students can experience New Zealand's local cultures, cuisines, and customs up close and make friends with locals much more quickly than students living in resident halls because of their increased connection with them. At times, the hosts' family starts treating these students as part of their family.
