Founded in 1853, the University of Florida is one of the oldest public land-grant research universities in USA. It is situated in Gainesville, Florida. It is recognized by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. The University of Florida is one of the 3 members of the Association of American Universities in Florida and is classified as an R1: Doctoral University, indicating very high research activity. In addition, the Warrington College of Business at UF has an accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
The University of Florida also ranks as the 3rd largest university in Florida by student enrollment and holds the title of the 5th largest single campus university in the entire country. In 2002, UF led a consortium of 7 universities that secured a USD 15 million grant from NASA to conduct space research. The university is also collaborating with Spain on the world’s largest single-aperture optical telescope. By 2014, the number of graduates from UF had reached half a million. Among its notable alumni are actress Faye Dunaway, astronaut Kevin Ford, and Florida's senior senator, Marco Rubio.

There are many ways to choose your university such as fees, the ranking of the university, which state it is located and scholarships. My suggestion is to choose your research focus and write academic papers. In the US, PhD in Commerce admission into the university depends on what you want to study (your area of research) and your already completed research papers. You can begin your research by searching online for US universities offering PhD in Business Administration.
