Choosing to study in Australia has two-fold benefits: one, getting a quality education, and two, the availability of a wide range of scholarships offered by several Australian universities.
The best thing about the scholarships in Australia is that most of them are merit-based and the past academic record of the student is considered for evaluation. This means that there are no entrance or scholarship tests for the applicants. The university takes decisions regarding scholarships based on the student’s past academic performance, and overall profile. Some of the scholarship options for undergraduate and postgraduate studies available in real terms for Indian students targeting studies in Australia are discussed below.
This is a scholarship for exceptional students. It offers up to 40,000 AUD to high achieving international students who apply for bachelor’s degrees or coursework master’s degrees, and the students receive an unconditional offer letter.

This scholarship provides a full tuition fee waiver or a 20,000 AUD reduction per year in tuition fees, and it is available for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. This award provides a 15% waiver of tuition fees every year to undergraduate and postgraduate students. An eligible student needs to apply for it within the deadline as mentioned on the university website (https://www.student.unsw.edu.au/apply/dates).

This scholarship provides either of the following three:-
This scholarship does not need a separate application, and students would be considered by default, based on merit.
The scholarship provides one-off fee remissions of $5,000 or $10,000 and 25%, 50%, or 100% fee remissions for the standard course duration. Students do not have to apply separately for this scholarship, and eligible candidates are considered by default, based on merit.

This scholarship offers a $10,000 tuition fee waiver per annum for the duration of the degree program. It is offered to both UG and PG students who are eligible based on their academic merit. There is no need for a separate application for this scholarship. This scholarship offers a 50% tuition fee waiver and is awarded to both UG and PG students. This scholarship is awarded to international students wanting to pursue an undergraduate or postgraduate programme, and have been academic achievers. Awardees are typically given a reduction between 15% and 30% on the tuition fee. There is no separate application required for this scholarship.
This scholarship offers a 50% tuition fee reduction and sees a large number of aspirants compete for it. Both UG and PG students are eligible for it, given that they have been academically meritorious. There is no separate application required for this scholarship.
This scholarship grants a 25% reduction of the total tuition fee to both UG and PG students applying from India. This, too, does not require a separate application, and candidates who have been academic achievers are considered for it, by default.
