A summer course in Mechanical Engineering will introduce you to a range of mechanical engineering areas. From aero, thermo and fluid dynamics, mechatronics, structures and materials and Computer Aided Design you will be guided by an expert tutor. You will also learn to work solo and collaborate with students like yourself from all over the world.
Physics is perceived to be a difficult subject, but if you try to understand it without any fear you are sure to appreciate its worth in our lives. The Oxford Summer Course on Physics will provide invaluable insights and help you gain a deep understanding on particle physics, astrophysics, condensed matter and more.
For a high school student such an exposure not only ignites the hunger to learn more, it enhances the curious mind and, with the quality of tutors who are giving these programmes it definitely impacts the young mind to pursue physics passionately.

Sustainability has become a key term ever since the UN declared the Sustainable Development Goals to be adopted by world leaders in September 2015. While governments across the world are working towards making their citizens take steps towards sustainable living, organisations too are looking for ways to incorporate it in their workflow. Academicians have caught on the trend as well with modules on sustainability. Oxford Summer Course on Sustainable does just that - it teaches students about what are the most significant environmental threats faced by humans. From climate change to depleting fossil fuel. As is the nature of sustainable engineering, students will learn to develop interdisciplinary tools required to design, assess and also enhance renewable energy and its impact on our world.
As it is the University's practice, the tutor will help you to understand the subject through self directed learning, and train you to cultivate critical thinking. Since the group size for this course is only eight students per batch the learning will be more focused
Through the duration of this course, you will write two independent essays which will be evaluated. There will also be a 'tutorial' where you can discuss your essay and receive feedback from your tutor as well as peer observations. This will help you in getting new perspectives on your work.
On completion, this is what will be your reward, you will receive a course completion certificate and a letter of recommendation by your tutor.
Note: Since it is a very popular programme, admissions are full for the next two months. Students may check the Oxford Summer Courses website for details on when the next batch begins as well as for the fees of the course.
