    About DHA Exam 2026

    DHA Exam 2026 is the exam held by the Dubai Healthcare Authority which is the regulatory body that is responsible for the issuance of health care licenses to healthcare professsionals like doctors (general & specialists), nurses, midwives, allied health care professionals, dentists, alternate medical practitioners etc. The DHA exam is mandatory and can be in the form of a computer based test or oral assessment as per the category.     What is DHA?

    The full form of DHA is Dubai Healthcare Authority and it is responsible for ensuring safe, effective, ethical and high-quality healthcare in the Emirate of Dubai. This includes licensing procedures that mandate competency as per required standards in education, examination and experience.

    Who can apply for DHA exam 2026?

    There are different categories as per the role and license needed. The regulations vary for each category. DHA exam 2026 is held for the following categories:

    1. Physicians: General Practice/ Specialist/  Consultant
    2. Dentists: General Dentist/ Specialist/  Consultant
    3. Nurses & Midwives
    4. Allied Healthcare
    5. T C I M (Traditional Complementary and Integrative Medicine practitioners)

    How to apply for DHA exam and get a license?

    The following steps are to be followed. 

    • Create a Sheryan account. 
    • Complete self-assessment
    • Check for PQR requirements like qualification, clinical experience, license from home country etc.
    • Obtain a Positive Primary Source Verification (PSV) result.
    • Apply for and pass the assessment requirements. 
    • If qualified, the Professional Registration Certificate will be issued.

    DHA Exam Eligibility Criteria: Candidates appearing for the DHA exam 2026 are qualifed and need to establish the same to be eligible to appear for the exam. For this, the Primary Source Verification (PSV) is done. This means the candidates need to submit documents validating their qualifications and experience.

    To establish and pass the PSV, candidates need to submit the following

    • Qualification documents
    • Experience/Employment documents
    • License/registration documents
    • Logbook (for Physician with surgical specialities)
    • Good standing certificate (s)

    The credentials are verified and thereafter candidates can proceed to apply for assessment. The PSV is done by a third party and reported to the authrities in the Sheryan portal.

    DHA Exam Eligibility Outcomes

    1. Positive Result :When the verification and self assessment is positive, candidates will get a positive result and they can move further to apply for the DHA exam (CBT or oral assessment).

    2. Unable to Verify (UTV) Result: In this case, candidates must reapply and submit relevant documents. They cannot appear for the DHA exam if the result is not positive. Applicants will be given two chances to apply for re-verification of the same document twice. 

    3. Discrepancy Result: Candidates will have to correct the discrepancy. They will get one chance to apply for reverification of the same documents only once.

    Candidates who qualify will have to check the Sheryan portal as the scores are not released. Only the status is updated based on qualifying status. 

    The DHA exam 2026 is conducted by Prometric. So the exam booking - slot, time etc are through the Prometric website. The result of the DHA exam will be passed on Sheryan.

    DHA Exam Result is available in the Sheryan account only. Candidates will have to log in and check their status - pass or fail. The results of DHA exam are generally released within 3 to 5 days from the exam or assessment date.

    Candidates have upto three attempts to complete their assessment else they will not be allowed to practise as a health / medical practitioner. 

    DHA Exam cutoff score is basically the qualifying score. This varies for each category as per the specialisation. A simple table is given below with details for candidates to have an idea of the minimum scores required to pass the DHA exam 2026
