    PTE Scoring System 2025

The PTE scoring system uses AI technologies to evaluate answers. Some responses are judged purely on whether they are right or wrong, while others depend on criteria, like word limits, quality of the response, fluency, pronunciation, etc. To provide a thorough and fair assessment of a candidate’s English skills, the PTE scoring system uses two methods:

    • Correct or Incorrect Scoring - This straightforward approach evaluates tasks with clear right or wrong answers, such as multiple-choice questions or fill-in-the-blank exercises.
    • Partial Credit Scoring - This method gives a more thorough evaluation for tasks that require detailed responses or subjective judgment, like essay writing, speaking tasks, or summarizing written content.
