About Dalhousie University

Dalhousie University is a public research university located in Nova Scotia, Canada. It was established in 1818 and is one of the oldest universities in Canada. The university is ranked in the top 20 universities in Canada for 298th in the world by QS 2024 World Universities Rankings. The university has a student faculty ratio of 18:1.

Dalhousie University acceptance rate is 60-70% which means that the admission is not highly competitive and out of 10 applications, 6-7 gets accepted at the university. Students must have a strong application with a high GPA, involvement in extracurriculars, letter of recommendation, resume and a well written statement of purpose along with other supporting documents required by the university. 

For most of the bachelor programmes, candidates must apply before Feb. 15, 2024. However, for candidates seeking admission to graduate programmes in the month of September must apply by April 1, 2024.
