Medical students who do not qualify for the FMGE exam in 2025 can pursue postgraduate courses abroad. Failing the FMGE is not equivalent to the end of a medical career for students. They can further choose the alternative pathways, such as postgraduate courses abroad or medical research globally. FMGE is quite a tough exam for medical graduates after completing MBBS abroad in 2025 where 70 to 80 per cent of candidates fail in each session. In the recent FMGE 2025 June session, the fail percentage was 78.78%. The FMGE exam is conducted twice a year. The first session takes place in July and the other one in December. If candidates fail to pass the FMGE exam in one session, they can appear for the next FMGE session with better preparation. Often, the majority of medical graduates pass the FMGE in multiple attempts. Hence, students must not be disheartened if they fail. They can analyse the reasons why they have failed the first time, use official study material, practice consistently, and use other techniques.
If candidates fail to pass the FMGE exam, then they are not allowed to practice medicine in India. Another option for students after failing the FMGE exam is to pursue a postgraduate degree abroad after completing their MBBS. Generally, an FMGE qualification is not required to be eligible for these courses, such as MHA, MPH, Clinical diploma, etc.

Yes, you can completely do MBA in Hospital Management. As FMGE is a licensing exam that is for foreign Medical graduates must need to pass to practice medicine in India.
MBA in Hospital Management is a management degree, not a medical practice licence. For pursuing this course you just need a bachelor's degree in any field with minimum marks 50% above in most Universities.
Without passing FMGE still there are many career scopes after MBA such as:

Id you didn’t pass FMGE you can apply for MBA course.You can choose specializations like Hospital & Healthcare Management, Hospital Administration, Pharmaceutical Management, or even General MBA. Give entrance exams like CAT,MAT,XAT,CMAT or SNAP to get top colleges or you can apply to private Universities that accept students without any entrance exam.
Some good colleges for MBAs are Symbiosis Institute of Health Sciences (Pune), Tata Institute of Social Sciences , KJ Somaiya (Mumbai), Apollo Institute of Hospital Administration (Hyderabad), Manipal Academy of Higher Education or IIMs etc.

As you have filled FMGE Form for July 2025 and have also gotten the admit card but won't be able t o attend the exam due to some issues, YOU WILL NOT FACE ANY PROBLEMS IN FUTURE ATTEMPTS.
Missing the exam is treated as an unused attempts, but it doesn't affect your future attempt as there is no restrictions or penalties.
So focus on your health first and give the exam later.
