A transcript evaluation from a NACES member is required for applicants with a 3-year bachelor's degree with less than 120 hours from a non-Bologna Accord institution to confirm equivalency.

South Florida University has two libraries at Tampa campus– Tampa Campus Research library and Shimberg Health Sciences Library. In addition, University of South Florida at St. Petersburg has Nelson Pointed Memorial Library. University of South Florida athletic teams are called "Bulls". The university currently sponsors 19 varsity teams that have 9 athletic facilities including outdoor and indoor stadiums. Some of them are Yuengling Center, The Claw– Golf Facility, Corbett Stadium– Soccer Stadium, Raymond James Stadium–Football, and Indoor Tennis Courts. South Florida University provides recreational sports, fitness facilities, as well as outdoor adventures. University of South Florida Intramural sports provide a way to get training, coaching at their favourite sport for both students and faculty.

Swimming Pool

There are two swimming pools at University of South Florida, Tampa Campus– one Indoor and FIT outdoor pool. The Indoor Pool located at the Recreation & Wellness is a 25 yard, 8 lane lap pool with a remote-controlled ADA chair lift and heated. Outdoor FIT pool is a resort-style facility that is 25-yards with 2 lap lanes. It has zero-depth entry, built-in seating areas, and ADA accommodations. This outdoor pool at University of South Florida facilitates studying and socialising with excellent deck spaces for sunbathing and a shaded terrace.

Gym and fitness facilities are served by The Center for Wellness, Engagement, Leadership and Learning (WELL) at University of South Florida, Tampa Campus. The fitness centre offers 12,000 sq.ft of recreation space with state-of-the-art fitness equipment,  and group fitness classes. The facility also has showers and locker rooms.

Transport options at University of South Florida include Carpooling, bicycling, free-fare bus rides, intercity bus rides along with local car rental services like Zipcar and uber. Eligible students, faculty and staff can form a group to make use of Carpooling who have reserved parking space on the campus. University of South Florida facilitates discounted rides on Car rentals. Bicycle rental facilities are available along with repair stations on Tampa campus. The USF Bull Runner transit system offers free bus rides from campus to select locations free of charge on a valid USF ID card. However, intercity buses have charges.

There are many dining halls, cafes, and renowned outlets like Starbucks, Panda Express inside University of South Florida campus at Tampa. Dining halls provide cafeteria style dining and meal plans to on-campus resident students. Most dining halls accept what is known as "Dining Dollars" on the campus which is a prepaid debit account that can be withdrawn on purchase of meals. The Hub and Juniper Dining provide cafeteria style dining with Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch, and Dinner. 

Other cafeterias across the University of South Florida campus are Argos Flip Kitchen, BurgerFi, Bay Coffee and Tea, Cafe Connect, Juniper Flip Kitchen, The Corner Market at Juniper, Chick-fil-A, Bento Sushi, Panera Bread, Starbucks, Pollo Tropical, Rocky's Hideout. In addition, Marshall Student Center has 813 Eats, Benz Blows, Moe's Southwest Grill, Panda Express, Subway, Papa John's.
