The University of Michigan has many gyms which include-

  • Palmer Field- It has a 23,000 square feet area. 3 activities are performed at this gym- cardio exercise, running and jogging at a small running and walking track and strength building. There is also a fitness room for group X classes. Restrooms and showers, heaters and air conditioners are also available.

  • Intramural Sports Building- IMSB has modern equipment for workouts. It is famous for cardio exercise and running and jogging. Free weights, weight machines, cardio machines, group exercise, personal training, showers and lockers are available.

  • North Campus Recreation Building- Free weights, cardio machines, weight machines, group exercise, personal training, showers and lockers are available.

Swimming Pool

University of Michigan swimming pool is named as Canham Natatorium. It is used for various water related activities like swimming, diving and women’s water polo. Lap swimming is available from Monday to Friday. Pull buoys, Aqua Joggers and kickboards are available for use. Restrooms and showers are available.
