Ohio University has set different entry requirements for domestic and international students. The entry requirements also differ from one course to another and from the level of the programmes. Applicants applying to Ohio University should have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a scale of 4.0.

Candidates can submit the application with or without the ACT and SAT scores. If the students submit their scores, the university will consider them as the admission criteria. Ohio University offers both need-based and merit-based scholarships for all its admitted students. The students are automatically eligible for some of the scholarships after the acceptance of their application forms.

For merit-based scholarships, the students need to maintain a GPA and should have a good academic record. Here are some of the scholarships offered at Ohio University to international students.

  • OHIO Excellence Scholarship: This is a merit-based scholarship offered to entering first-year applicants. The award amount may vary up to INR 5.5 lakh (USD 6,500) annually.

  • OHIO Admission Promise Award for Fall 2024:  This scholarship is awarded to students who submit their applications before the application deadline for the rolling decision on February 1, 2024, with a minimum GPA requirement. The awarded amount will be INR 1.7 L (USD 2,000).

  • OHIO Trustee Award for Out-of-State Students: This award is for students who are considered non-residents at the university for tuition purposes.

  • OHIO Russ Vision Award:  This award is offered to students who are admitted to engineering and technology programmes in 2024.
