About University of Bayreuth

The University of Bayreuth is a government institution which was established in 1975 and is one of the most successful young universities in Germany.

  • On completion of the document verification, the candidate's online profile will be updated with a verification result. 

  • Successful candidates receive a digital APS certificate via email.

University of Bayreuth Scholarship

The University of Bayreuth has provided various scholarships for all students irrespective of their nationalities. Every international student as well as doctoral researcher is eligible to apply for a study grant at the International office of the university. However, limited funding is available for international aspirants from the State of Bavaria and the DAAD.

All international students are required to fill up a separate application form to be considered and the deadlines are:

University of Bayreuth Eligibility

The University of Bayreuth has established certain eligibility criteria for every applicant who aspires to pursue a programme as an entry requirement. These prerequisites must be complied with. These eligibility mandates are country-wise as well and are mentioned below:

India-specific requirements for admission to the University of Bayreuth are as follows:

  • Candidates must have 10th and 12th school leaving certificates.

German proficiency requirements

Each international student is required to demonstrate their German language proficiency through one of the acceptable mediums to the University of Bayreuth to be eligible for the programmes.

The languages of instruction at the university are both English and German. Hence, at the time of application proof of German language proficiency at the level of at least B2 must be provided for all German taught programmes.

Some of the courses may require a level C1 or DSH-2 as well as per the entry restriction of the course curriculum.
