The University of Minnesota is a public research university established in 1851 in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States. It is one of the 5 universities in the nation with an engineering, medical, law, veterinary medicine, and agricultural school.

University of Minnesota Scholarship

Two types of scholarships have been provided by the University of Minnesota. These are:

  • Global Excellence Scholarships: These scholarships are awarded to students having excellent academic records. Students are automatically eligible for the awards when they apply before the deadline. The amount awarded is INR 12.4 Lakhs (USD 15,000) or INR 8.3 Lakhs (USD 10,000) per year for up to four consecutive years. Transfer students get INR 8.3 Lakhs (USD 10,000) per year for up to three consecutive years.

  • International Student and Scholar Services Scholarships: These services offer various need-based scholarships to the students of the University of Minnesota. The amount you receive is between INR 83,192 (USD 1,000) and INR 4.15 Lakhs (USD 5,000). All the students who apply for these scholarships need to prove their financial need.
