About State University of New York

The State University of New York is also known as the nation’s largest comprehensive publicly owned university system. The institution was established in 1948 in the United States.

Latest Deadline at State University of New York

The State University of New York has no official deadlines for applying as a regular decision applicant to the university. However, applicants are advised to submit their applications as soon as possible. Hence, if there is no formal application deadline for freshman applicants, candidates must apply by December 1.

On the contrary, some colleges have specific application deadline dates for certain programs of study and some colleges offer “Early Decision” or “Early Action” programmes to fall freshmen. 

Applicants to an Early Decision program should apply by December 1st. Applicants to an Early Action program should apply by October 15 to November 15.

State and federal aid programmes are not available to international students who wish to pursue a course at the State University of New York. However, some of the campuses do offer scholarships out of 64 total to attract international students. Hence, one is recommended to contact the financial aid offices of the individual SUNY schools that the candidate wants to apply to.
