Governors State University Scholarship

Governors State University offers a limited number of scholarships. The university has merit-based scholarships for all incoming first-year students to support them with their tuition fees on an annual basis. Students can receive either the Presidential, Provost, or Deans Scholarship.

  • Presidential Scholarships: The cost of tuition and fees for up to 30 credit hours each academic year (fall, spring, and summer), academic year semi-suite housing in GSU’s residence hall, a Silver Board plan of INR 83.2 K (USD 1000 per semester), and INR 41.6 K (USD 500) towards books per semester at the GSU Follett Bookstore are covered under this scholarship.

  • Provost Scholarships: This scholarship awards an INR 26.6 L (USD 32,000) scholarship awarded at INR 6.7 L (USD 8,000) annually. Up to two students can receive this scholarship.

  • Dean's Scholarship: Students can receive INR 23.3 L (USD 28,000) scholarships awarded at INR 5.9 L (USD 7,000) annually under this scholarship award.
