University of West Scotland is situated in Crichton estate and is considered to be one of Scotland's largest and most Modern institutions. It was founded in 1992 and has since been offering more than 200 courses in undergraduate, graduate and online studies.

UWS offers a variety of scholarships to help students finance their education. These scholarships vary in terms of merit, need, and specific academic achievements. Some of the scholarships offered to international students include UWS Global Scholarships for UG and PG Students, UWS PG Tuition Fee Offer, and UWS Sports Scholarships.
