Media and Communications is a broad interdisciplinary field of study. The course at University of Exeter prepares the students for the next generation of professionals in communications and to become excellent media researchers. At the end of the course, students will gain advanced transferable skills in communication, analysis, and research that is relevant beyond academia along with social media expertise. The course is available at the Streatham Campus of University of Exeter.
Students have to achieve a total 180 credits in order to successfully complete the course. Of the 180 credits, 90 credits are for compulsory modules and 90 credits are for optional modules. There are two compulsory modules that include a dissertation and five optional modules to choose from to achieve 90 credits. The course will be taught along with hands-on experience through two research facilities, Digital Humanities Lab and Bill Douglas Cinema Museum. Students will go through a real-time experience through video games, social media management and guidance by research-experienced staff.

University of Exeter requires 2:1 honours degree or equivalent qualification to apply for the program. International students with a bachelor degree in Journalism, Mass communications, and other media related areas can apply for the course. Students from other-subject backgrounds require relevant work experience in media and communication industries.
A bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 58 - 60% or CGPA of 5.8 - 7.5 on a 10 point scale in a relevant subject that includes media studies, theory-based media-related courses, cultural studies, sociology (or a social science course), politics, history, philosophy, literature.
A bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 58 - 60% or CGPA of 5.8 - 7.5 on a 10 point scale in a non-relevant subject along with 1 year work experience in media and/or cultural industries.
IELTS score of 6.5 with minimum 6 in any other section, taken within the last two years prior to the application date.
TOEFL IBT scores of 90 with minimum 21 in sections of writing, listening, reading and speaking.
PTE Score of 67 with minimum 64 in all communicative skills.
Standard XII English with 70% score in CBSE/ICSE, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Kerala and Karnataka Boards.
