Students who enrol at Oxford Brookes University are immediately admitted as members of the school's student union, the Brookes Union. Each year, they organise Fresher's Week and a number of other events.
The union provides a variety of services for students, including a system of student representatives, a safety bus service, several student groups, and advising services.
Harcourt Hill, Headington, Swindon, and Wheatley are the four physical places where the library is located. To aid in studying, teaching, and research among all university students, the library offers a wide range of educational and informational materials. The Hardcourt Hill and Headington libraries are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week during the semester.
All dietary restrictions can be accommodated by Oxford Brookes University's selection of food and beverages, and Gather & Gather provides catering at its Oxford-based campuses. Cafe Central is open from 7.30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8.30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends. The other outlets at Headington include The Deli, Clerici Cafe, Taylors Yard, Avo Cafe, The Terrace, Brookes Bar, and Brookes Co-Op.
Oxford Brookes University facilities include a variety of sports classes throughout all of its campuses, as well as well-equipped gyms.
