All candidates from India seeking admission to Liverpool John Moores University must meet the following undergraduate and postgraduate admissions criteria:
For undergraduates
Applicants should have a Higher Secondary Certificate / Standard 12 / Indian School Certificate (Year 12) OR
They must have an All India Senior School Certificate Examination with a minimum of 65% overall (60% in Maths and 60% in the chosen subject).
Applicants require a minimum IELTS 6.0 Overall with 5.5 in each component score
LMJU accepts the CBSE or CISCE (ISC) standard XII English state boards with a score of 70% or above as an alternative to IELTS.

Students must have a degree awarded by a university officially recognised by Ecctis.
They must be holders of a Bachelor’s degree with pass rate of 55% to be considered for direct admission to Postgraduate courses.

LJMU has two libraries, one for each campus: The Aldham Robarts Library serves students studying at the Mount Pleasant Campus or living elsewhere in the central Knowledge Quarter area. It is a component of the Mount Pleasant Campus. The library primarily serves the faculties of business and law as well as media, arts, and social science. The Avril Robarts Library serves students primarily who attend classes at the City Campus and is a component of that campus.
All LJMU students, staff, and alumni are welcome to use the LJMU Sport Building. The Sport Building has a sports hall with eight courts, two multipurpose studio rooms, and a two-floor gym with more than 120 training stations and the most recent Technogym Excite line of equipment. Teams from several different sports are registered with BUCS at Liverpool John Moores University. Many of the teams participate in BUCS events. In the annual inter-university derby, John Moores University and the University of Liverpool face off for "The Varsity Cup."
