About M.Sc Biopharmaceutical Technology
Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) offers a one-year full-time Master of Science/Post Graduate Diploma programme in Biopharmaceutical Technology. The programme is being offered by TUS at the Athlone campus since 1996. The M.Sc Biopharmaceutical Technology programme is offered by the Department of Life and Physical Sciences. M.Sc Biopharmaceutical Technology programme includes lectures and laboratory sessions in addition to site visits to local biopharmaceutical plants, guest lectures and practical training at the National Institute for Bioprocessing Research & Training (NIBRT) in Dublin. Semester 2 includes Immunobiologics, Contemporary Issues in Biopharm, Bioprocess Technology, Quality by Design and Project Management, Research Project, and Practical Elements. Students have to do research projects in semester 2 and is continued after that in the summer period.
