    Library

    The University of Glasgow Library is popular with collections that cover most branches of the arts, sciences, social sciences, and medicine. The library also has rare books, manuscripts, and more in the archives collection. It is open from morning 7:00 until 2 am, 361 days of the year, with staffed services available from 8 am-8 pm from Monday - Sunday.

    The University of Galway recognizes the relationship between academic performance, health, and wellbeing and in support of this the Sport and Recreation Unit has a mission to promote participation in sport and physical activities by all students and staff and to support higher standards of performance in sport and physical activity for elite sports individuals and teams within the University of Galway. The University of Galway is invested in the lives of its students and has around 47 sports clubs like Archery, Athletics, Golf, Hurling, Rowing, Swimming, and more.
    The University of Galway has elite sports that provide scholarships to its prominent athletic students, community sports partnerships with Student Sport Ireland (SSI), local sports partnerships, and more.

    They also have sports facilities which include 6 lanes, a 25-meter Swimming Pool, a sauna, steam rooms, a basketball arena with bleacher seating around 600 seats, and a fully equipped gym in the indoor facilities whereas the outdoor facilities include International Standard sand-based artificial surface and more.

    The University of Galway is committed to providing sustainable transportation planning and implementation for its students.

    The university has a bike-sharing scheme with three stations located on campus like Coca-Cola Zero® Bike stations which are located throughout the city of Galway for healthy and convenient transport. Students and staff are even encouraged to walk within the campus and choose public transport.

    Other passes include a travel pass scheme and a park-and-ride scheme.

    University of Galway Accommodation

    The University of Galway has on-campus accommodation, in the Goldcrest Village, Corrib Village, and Dunlin Village. Students can contact the International Office for on-campus accommodation information and apply online.

    The rooms are either standard double/twin/single or shared ensuite single/double or private en suite single/double the rates of €1,645 - €3,000 at the Corrib Village if paid in two installments.

    Goldcrest Village has two types of rooms en suite single and double and Dunlin Village has types of rooms like standard single/double or standard plus double. These rooms are available at the rates of €3,000 and above.
