About Rotman School of Management

Rotman School of Management is a Graduate Business School, established in 1950. It is a part of the University of Toronto and offers a world-class MBA Programmes. The programmes offered at the Rotman include a full-time MBA; a part-time morning and evening MBA; one one-year executive MBA; and the global executive MBA (across six countries). The Rotman School has been ranked 131-140th in the QS International Trade Ranking, 2024, and its Global MBA Programme is ranked 67th in the Financial Times Rankings, 2023. It has been accredited by AACSB.

There are 275 students studying at the Full-time MBA Course at the Rotman School and 65% of the total student body comprises international students. A minimum score of 550 is required in the GMAT and TOEFL or IELTS  are accepted to meet the English language requirements. The average GMAT score is 674 for 2023-24 admissions. The institution has one of the most international student bodies of any leading business school. All international graduates of the Full-Time MBA program are eligible for a 3-year Canadian work permit, which offers opportunities for work after study in Canada.

The tuition fee for international students for one academic year for a full-time MBA Program is $136,410 CAD. Rotman is home to a number of Research Centres and institutes. Rotman School of Management Admission and Application

Rotman School of Management's admission process is basic and simple. The candidates applying for admission at the institution must meet the course-specific requirements.  All the candidates must give an interview/s in order to gain admission to the program. Interviews will be conducted by invitation only.

How to Apply?

The applicants must follow the given steps to apply for admission at the Rotman School of Management.

  • Visit the official website at rotman.utoronto.ca.

  • Go to the Degrees tab on the Homepage.

  • Click on the ‘Application Process’ under Application info.

  • Choose the program and click on the link for ‘Apply Now’ under the chosen program.

  • Sign up as a new applicant.

  • The login credentials will be sent via a registered email address.

  • Use the credentials to log into the Rotman Portal.

  • Fill out the application with all the details.

  • Upload the required documents (scanned and PDF format).

  • Pay the application fee and submit the application.

The application fee is $195 CAD. It is a non-refundable fee and must be paid in Canadian dollars.

Student Loans

Rotman School of Management Eligibility

The applicants must fulfil the academic and English language requirements for admission at the Rotman School of Management in their selected degree programme or course of study. The basic minimum eligibility is as follows.

  • A minimum GPA of 3.0 in the final year of a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university.

  • A minimum score of 550 on the GMAT or GRE is required.

  • Applicants must have a minimum of two years of work experience.

  • Must meet the English language proficiency requirement of the selected degree programme.

English language requirements

Knowledge of the English language is an essential part of the selection process of the Rotman School of Management. To meet this requirement, the applicants must have one of the following:

  • Undergraduate or Graduate degree from a recognized University where English is the primary language.

  • Have taken the tests for TOEFL or IELTS.

The Rotman School also offers an English for Professionals programme and a Pronunciation Management Programme to help students to improve their proficiency level and pronunciation of the English language. All programs are free and are offered on a drop-in basis.
