  • UOW Postgraduate Academic Excellence Scholarship: Postgraduate students can get a 30% fee waiver on applying for this scholarship.

  • UOW Alumni Postgraduate Scholarship: A 10% fee waiver is given to its students. It applies to all full-time postgraduate students.

  • Humanitarian Scholarship: A 100% scholarship is given to both undergraduate and graduate students. It is awarded to students pursuing any related coursework associated with the university campus. An annual stipend of AUD 5,000 is provided.

Laboratories

The college has a laboratory. Preparation of environmental samples for radiocarbon (14C) dating of specific organic compounds is able to be completed at the Radiocarbon Dating Sample Preparation Laboratory within the School of Earth & Environmental Sciences. In this laboratory, individual biomolecules can be identified, extracted, and purified for dating, under the direction of Allan Chivas.

The college has excellent IT infrastructure. The Student Computer Labs are on Level 1 of Building 17 on the Wollongong campus and provide students with access to email, the Internet, applications software, and printing. The teaching laboratories contain special-purpose software for tutorials run by individual departments. When there are no tutorials scheduled, teaching laboratories may be used by UOW students -- please check the tutorial timetable available online or outside each lab. Students must abide by the IT Acceptable Use Policy when accessing the labs.

No food or drinks are permitted in the computer labs' teaching rooms.

Medical/Hospital

The university ensures 24/7 health assistance for all students. The institution has partnered with Grand Pacific Health (GPH) to provide affordable health and medical services on the Wollongong campus. Students can book their appointments online by visiting the GPHC@UOW website.
