Wright State University, Dayton

Wright State University has one campus library, Paul Laurence Dunbar Library at Dayton Campus. All university libraries provide quiet study spaces, group study spaces, room reservation for collaboration and combined studies and much more. Subject librarians exist to provide support related to academic research, research assignments, library tours and orientation sessions etc. Printing, photocopying, and scanning, colour printing facilities are available. Students and employees must use the Wright1 Card to pay for applicable charges.

While studying at the Wright State Dayton, students can participate in both varsity teams to beat NCAA championships as well intramural sports to simply stay active and socialise. 10 Men’s and Women’s varsity teams exist for Baseball, Basketball, Cross country, Soccer, Golf, Volleyball and Track and field. Varsity Athletic teams are known as Riders. Notable sports facilities include Nutter Centre, C.J. McLin Gymnasium for Volleyball, Nischwitz Stadium for baseball, Alumni Field at Rinzler Student Sports Complex for soccer, Setzer Pavilion/Mills Morgan Center for training and athletics department. Nutter centre is a multipurpose facility used for music concerts and graduation ceremonies as well.

There is only one swimming pool at Wright State University Dayton that is used for open swimming, Kinesiology and Health, recreational fitness water classes, and intramural sports. It has 6 25 yard lanes with lifeguards on duty at all times. The pool access requires membership and is available only to Wright State University students, faculty, staff, and affiliates. Food, alcoholic beverages, Chewing gum, running in the halls, smoking are not permitted on the deck or in the facility buildings.  

Wright State University has public transportation, shuttle bus service, paratransit and ride sharing options for transportation to and from the Dayton campus. Wright State University's nearest airport is  Dayton International Airport. Public transportation is provided by RTA buses that run from downtown Dayton to Wright State and many other destinations. Students can get passes for discounted travel. Greene CATS is another public transportation option through buses. The Raider Ride Campus Transportation provides on campus transportation between various locations such as The Village, Millett Hall, Nutter Center and  WSU Physicians. Students can track the bus timings at wright.edu/facility-operations/transportation#shuttles. Through Miami Valley rideshare students can share free rides.

There are around 5 places to eat and drink at Wright State University. Union Market, the Hangar, Pour Café, ReyRey Café, Raider Mart, and Dunbar Library. Union Market offers sandwiches, homemade soups, salads, pizzas, grilled items along with items from international cuisine. Students can get Coffee, espresso, tea, bakery items, fruit smoothies, along with grab-and-go meals at Pour Cafe. Boston Stoker coffee, beverages and snacks are offered by ReyRey Café. Catering services are available at the university to celebrate birthday parties, etc. 

On campus Student Health services are available at Dayton, Wright State University. Students can get primary and acute care services, health awareness advice and counselling, preventive care education, therapeutic choices, disease management advice, etc. Services related to dermatology, OB/GYN, internal medicine and surgery are also provided by Student Health Services. Physical examinations, female examinations, and allergy injections required appointments. Students can directly walk-in for all other services. All major insurances are accepted. Raider Ride shuttle service will provide transportation to and from the Health Service centre. Appointments required production of a physical copy of insurance card, and your Wright1 Card.
