The University of Cincinnati is a public research university in Ohio, USA founded in 1819 as Cincinnati College. 10 Cincinnati University libraries are spread across 11 facilities on the uptown campus. Walter C. Langsam Library is the main library that contains Elliston Poetry Room, Special Collections, Subject-wise Guides, Digital Collections, Preservation Lab along with University of Cincinnati Press. The university library system has over 4 million volumes, 2 million ebooks, 8 million catalogue hits and 70,000 periodicals.

University of Cincinnati has 16 athletic facilities for all types of club sports including basketball, volleyball, football, golf, swimming and much more. Cincinnati University Athletic teams are called Bearcats. Men and women have separate sports teams who participate in intercollegiate sports teams. University of Cincinnati has 212,000 sq.ft of spaces for recreation that offer so many ways to get active– cardio, swimming pools, weight equipment, group fitness, wall climbing and much more. 

Swimming Pool

There are 4 swimming pools in University of Cincinnati sports facilities. 3 of them are located in  The Campus Recreation Center Aquatic Complex and one is Keating Aquatic Center. The three swimming pools in the recreation centre are The lap pool, leisure pool, and whirlpool where students can take swimming lessons as well as hydro fitness classes. Keating Aquatic Center is an athletic facility. 

The lap pool: 25 yards,  1-metre and 3-metre diving boards, depth varies from 4 feet to 13.5 feet.

The leisure pool: Contains a water wall, vortex, current channel and bubble couch. Depth varies from 0-3.5 ft.

Whirlpool: Varying temperatures from 101-104 degrees.

Keating Aquatic Center: 12,000 sq.ft, 8-lane, 50-metre swimming course, integrated with diving wall.

University of Cincinnati encourages environmental friendly, healthy alternatives for on-campus transportation. Students can make use of car-sharing and ride-sharing services, bike share system, free shuttles and Cincinnati metro with subsidised bus passes. There are bike workshops, EV charging stations on the University of Cincinnati campus that promote ecological-sensitive transportation. There are shuttle services during night time that offer free transport within a 1 mile radius. Students can check out bicycles, travel in the UC metro at $1 costs.
