The University of Kentucky, formerly known as Agricultural and Mechanical College of Kentucky, State University, and State University of Kentucky, is one of the largest universities in the state. It is a public university that was established in 1928 and offers a wide range of programs, including master's degrees and research opportunities. The university started its Master's degree offerings in 1876 and established the first research centre in the United States, the Agriculture Experiment Station, in 1885. Over the years, it added various colleges, including the College of Home Economics and the College of Commerce.
