Pritzker School of Law was established as the law school of Northwestern University, Chicago on September 21, 1859. It was founded by Henry Booth, the first dean and professor of the school. The school is located at the corner of Clark and Washington Streets and was initially opened in the Larmon Block. The institute offers various programmes including JD-MBA, JD-PhD, JD-LLM in Taxation, Two-Year JD for International Lawyers, JD-LLM in International Human Rights, LLM for International Students, LLM in Taxation, Executive LLM Chicago (formerly the Accelerated Summer LLM) for International Students, LLM in International Human Rights, International Executive LLMs for International Students, Master of Science in Law.
The Pritzker Legal Research Center serves as the law library for the Northwestern Pritzker School of Law.
