Odessa National Medical University (ONMedU) was established in September, 1900. ONMedU is one of the pioneer medical universities of Ukraine, and Europe. MBBS graduates of Odessa National Medical University have been placed in various parts of the world including Europe and America. ONMedU library is one of the biggest and oldest libraries in Ukraine. Sports
Odessa National Medical University provides many facilities for sports and recreation. Odessa Medical University has a huge sports-health complex, which can accommodate over 500 students at a time. The complex is located on the Black Sea shore on the territory of the campus and is the best place to rest in summer. There are six sports halls in the sports-health complex. The sports halls have facilities for games like table tennis, aerobics, wrestling, athletics, a training room (gym), rhythmic gymnastics, badminton and many more.
ONMedU offers more than 16 kinds of sports out of which the most popular are basketball, tennis, football, mini-football, unarmed combat, badminton, athletics, handball, weightlifting, fencing, judo, chess, swimming and others.

Odessa Medical University has a Students’ Polyclinic. Annual medical examination of students is conducted every year at the Students’ Polyclinic. All types of diagnostic investigations are also carried out in the clinic with the help of specialist doctors. The rehabilitation sector carries out rehabilitation, medical check-ups and treatments like paraffin/ozokerite/mud treatment, laser therapy, electrically stimulated sleep, all kinds of electrical/light radiation treatment, magnetic therapy, vacuum therapy, whirl bath, contrast massage, biotherapy, under-water vertical stretching of the spinal column, reflex therapy and many more.
